Camphorwood
This camphor wood sculpture embodies the concept of self-image. While we are able to grasp an understanding of our appearance by looking in the mirror, the visually impaired can only do so with their tactility. This wood carving conveys that while their vision may be absent, their hands have the power to feel textures, features, and form to develop an awareness of their appearance.
